Ways To Help at Crossroads UMC

The United Methodist movement continues today with our church as we reach out to our own community. Here are ways to help...

Flower Fund
We are in need of either flowers or donations to the Flower Fund in order to have fresh floral arrangements on the altar every Sunday. Remember, you can provide flowers in memory or in honor of loved ones, groups, special celebrations, etc.

The Youth Are Still Collecting Ink Cartridges
The youth are still collecting ink cartridges, cell phones, laptops, iPods, digital cameras, GPS devices, PDAs, etc. for recycling. There is a bin with UMYF on the front of it by the church office for you to put these items. Thank you for helping our youth.

Script - Reloadable Gift Cards
Purchasing Script gift cards, which can be used for daily expenses, helps the Crossroads UMC Music Ministry. To purchase Script Gift Cards, please see Cheryl Hiebert, Lisa Bush or Debbie Beth Hoffman on Sunday mornings or in the office during the week from 8 am to noon and 1 to 4 pm.

If you order books or other material from Cokesbury, the United Methodist Bookstore, through www.crossroadsgj.org, and the church will get a small percentage of every sale. Please access Cokesbury through the link found on the home page. Thank you for your support of our church.

Donate Coupons and Help Military Families
Thank you for your diligent work! We have sent $4,539 worth of coupons to Lakenheath military base in Suffolk, England for our military families to use. This is the same base that Staff Sergeant Matthew Rettig, son of Mel & Maurine Rettig, is stationed. Thank you to all who donated and Ron & Lorraine Pethick for counting, sorting and mailing the coupons. Crossroads UMC would like to continue to reach out to military families serving overseas.. Clip manufacturer coupons and place them in the designated bag in the church office. Do not submit store-specific coupons (such as Target). Military commissaries accept coupons up to six months past the printed expiration date (please don’t donate coupons more than two or three months old since we have to process and mail the coupons). Coupons can be placed in a plastic bag at the front desk. We will send the coupons monthly. For more information contact the church office at 242-0577.
